In embracing flexible work arrangements.

SAFE offers flexibility and creates a skills database that seeks to encourage entrepreneurship opportunities in a global context, especially in instances where there are low job opportunities. SAFE provides a platform for individuals who are specifically looking for interim and flexible opportunities, this can be in the form of Consultancy type of arrangements where persons are able to register their personal information, upload their qualification documents and register their interests. It is from this skills pool and/or database that new opportunities would be drawn.

The SAFE platform encompasses intensive skill mapping processes.

SAFE would then support Project-Based recruitment and selection where persons would be recruited as Consultants who are onboarded based on their qualifications, experience, and availability. An individual would be signed on or contracted based on the requirements of the multiple projects. A consultant can either be recruited to work according to the fulfilment of certain functions, fulfilment of tasks within the project or be required to extend their skills to support the project according to a fixed period and working hours.

Each project will have tasks identified per project plan and requirements.

Consultants would be hired to work within project teams and paid on a work package completion basis.

Due to the complexity of some of the projects that often will require niche skills and scarce skills, these projects will require high skill.

Applicants will be able register their skill and experience via a portal registration.

Skills will be retained and activated based on the execution of work packages thereafter the engagement would terminate upon fulfilment of the task and through certain performance key indicators would trigger a payment event, this is clear distinction between formal employment and project-based or task-based engagement.

The Project-Based recruitment is not a fixed term contract; it is not a temporary employment and not a guarantee of permanent work.

The fee is agreed based on execution of the work package and market-scale.

The objective of SAFE will mean that global resources will become available for allocation of resources to the project.

Through this flexibility of work, this means that an individual can work from anywhere in the world depending on their skill, knowledge, and experience. This will be a huge advantage to addressing the engineering and technical skills shortage in Southern Africa.

Current employees will also be able to register on the platform, this would contribute to the planning of talent retention and skills programs and allow rotational opportunities for our current employees. This would be a complete skills base therefore creating an integrated ‘Talent pool’ that could feed into various projects within the Sandock Austral Group.

SAFE will provide income-earning opportunities, this platform would allow for freelance on projects where such arrangement was feasible, these opportunities would allow persons to add value, learn new skill, the team would be multi-skilled and result in Organisational longevity for our employees, independent contractors, and consultants.
